Mend Optima XM Mode System

optima xm in tamper mode?

how do I reset my optima xm control box after it has gone into tamper mode. The PIR was recently relocated and the system went into tamper mode, and no matter what I seem to do I cannot get it out of the tamper mode. Any suggestions. (a new battery was installed last august)

the lid on the p,i,r might not be on secure enough ,so tamper spring is not pressed in enough,you could open up the p,i,r, and take the two wires in the terminals marked 24 hour ,or tamper and twist them together this will link out the tamper ,you should be able to reset alarm ,.hope this helps ,if not come back on to site
