Mend Hotpoint WF250 Broke Door Replacement

Dismantling waching machine handle?

The glass broke in the door of our Hotpoint WF250 and we have a replacement part. I have removed the 6 screws that hold the 2 parts of the door together but the handle is stopping the sections coming apart. How do I separate the handle without breaking it, it appears to have a pin holding the 2 parts?
