no it is not a starter solinoid problem. from your statement it sounds to me as though either the clutch solinoid or the deck engagment arm solinoid has gone on the fritz. here is a good way to find out which one it is. take a strand of wire and unplug the solinoid on the clutch and incert tir wire into the slots, and try to start the machine. if it doesn't start that way do that to the deck solinoid. it should start. hope this helps you: Note: the solinoid for the clutch is on the right side of the machine under the frame. the deck solinoid is in the area where you see the steering gear, it is attached to the deck engaging arm there.
