Mend Hygena APL 8214 Dishwasher Heating Rinse

Hygena APL 8214 doesn't full with water, yet the heating element works?

Hygena APL 8214 doesn't full with water, yet the heating element works, it also appears that the timer(?) unit doesn't work. If put on a rinse cycle still no water and it doesn't click round on the programme. I feel it is the timer unit itself but to replace it at £80 would be an expensive exercise if this was not the fault. Any suggestions????
