I have a Hygena AHY 8102/1 model which may be similar? I have the integrated model so it has no lid as such. This model uses a spring/pully & cord system for the door. You get to the door spring system by removing the side. There are 2 screws front top, 2 screws front bottom, 2 screws back top and 2 screws back bottom that need to be removed. You can then lift the side off and away and the spring system is then accessible.
