Mend LDV Convoy Need Discs Too

Do I need new brake discs too?

My LDV Convoy's brake pedal went very loose fortunately when I was going slowly and I was able to come to a gradual stop. I then noticed if I pumped the pedal a few times it would work better. I was driving through Denmark at the time. The mechanic said he would change the brake pads and said I should have new discs. As I had a deadline he would just do the pads. I'm not sure that any of this is relevant as it felt like there is a leak and air is getting into the pipes. It's going to cost 500 Euros, am I being scammed?

Air does'nt get in on its own,has to be a break.your's sounds like it's lost one of its pads.gives same symptoms as the piston tries to do the job of the pads. But €500,come on!pads are what?€60-100.1 hour if front,2hours if it's back ones, and that's realy pushing it.Where are you cos im moving there.the money that could be made.

If you pump the pedal and the pedal gets harder it tells that their is air in the system. pedal pressure is not going to be affected by disks or pads,
.
I think the guy is a chancer
