Mend Parkinson Cowan Grill Gas Still

gas on grill blows out, but the gas is still on?

after the grill on my Parkinson Cowan gas oven has been on for a few minutes it blows out but the gas stays on. any ideas please ?

Parkinson Cowan Kitchen Appliances, Gas Cookers Grill Gas Still

The blow out is caused by the fine mesh at the top of the grill being ripped due to age.If you get a torch and a mirror you will be able to see inside the top grill, and there will be cracks in the mesh.
