Mend Dirt Devil 085600 Vacuum Cleaner Motor Repair

my dirt devil featherlite stopped picking up?

my dirt devil featherlite wont pick up anything. I took it apart nothing is stopped up. It has a new belt. The brush turns really fast you can feel the air blowing out of the motor vents. I dont see anything that would connect the motor suction to the brush section of the vac. I cant see what makes it work. This is a older model I have had it for approx 3 years it is a 085600 model Blue in color.
