I have a new red Miele "cat and Dog" cylinder vacuum cleaner it worked perfectly then on its third use it became very noisy, when I investigated, the active air clean filter (a rectangular black box with honetcombed pattern) had popped out of its moorings. I reinserted it but it kept popping out again. Anybody know why this happened or had similar experience
Make sure that the tabs in the back of the filter are pushed all the way in toward the power cord before clicking the front part down to latch it.

We've got the same filter but the only time it should pop off is if the machine is on and the lid is open. Make sure that if your model has a spare filter cartridge holder that is not being used at the same time as the Active carbon filter just either fits into the space provided for the exhaust filter. Some Miele models have a permanent honeycombed grille which can be lifted out - it is only for the Super Air clean filters to fit into and not for use with either the Active Carbon filter or the HEPA filter cartridges as they already have the honeycombed section built in and should be facing upwards when installing.
