Camcorder, Canon, MV830?

My canon mv 830 opens and closes ok with no cassette installed but when I put a cassette in after a feww seconds it beeps and ejects the cassette

Having read the answer drop it onto the carpet. I gave mine a bash from underneath. I did not think it would work but I was very happy when it worked. Thanks.

Try anothre tape, if that does not work try dropping it from 50cm onto a carpet. Perhaps 1 meter drop onto a carpet - worked for me
