How do i get the back off my Samsung j700?

I am having the same problem. I bought mine from the Vodafone shop in Putney London (never go there the customer service is appalling) and cannot get the back off despite repeated attempts. I found the grooves, but still could not do it.

I just bought one - tried for 3 hours with no luck. Rang the shop - they had no idea. Searched the net and came up with an answer - put rubber gloves on. Comes off a treat. I am now very happy

I have just checked this out, and many people are having exactly the same problem. Apparently you have to push the two grooves at the side of the phone in, and then push the cover in the direction of the arrow, however I know that there has been some trouble finding the grooves. If you are having a problem, it is probably best to take the phone back to where you brought it, and ask them to show you, otherwise type the question into google, as there are many help forums.
