Mend Ford Transit Diesel Fuel Pump Engine Start

air in the fuel line!!! how do i get it out???

I did a filter service on my 2002 transit, 2.4l turbo diesel engine,
I changed the fuel filter, and when i replaced it i didnt prime the new one, I thought the fuel pump would do it for me... NOW, i got the engine to start and it ran fine untill the fuel in the lines ran out, then in started once again after that, i turned the engine off (i probly should have let it run)and now it wont start.
I've checked the level of fuel in the new filter. its in there.

easystart- assume its an ether spray. should not be used on glow-plug engines as can explode in premix chamber. its ok on my old direct injection engine... so far

dude dont recommended you use easy start on that engine coz if it kicks back you run the risk of the timing chain jumping on the camshaft pulley because it only runs on about 8 of the teeth. best way to do it is buy a hand primer pump from a motor factor and put it on the return pipe back from the injector pump then it should run fine

i wasn't aware that you could use easy start on a deisel engine???
all i need now is a mate...haha

simplest?2 man job.remove air filter u spray only enough easystart into air intake to get it to cough into life while mate cranks key.u can feather easystart with 1 hand while u control throttle from pump.carefull juggling of both will soon have it running without gas,hold in at fast idle till ur sure it will settle down to tickover.let it idle for a good 5 mins then retest.dont over do the easy start ,little and often.
