Mend Miele Turn Second Repeat

MEILE VACUUM?

I have a miele vacuum cleaner than won't turn on . It did for a second when I adjusted the cord lenght but it won't repeat it.

Bad electrical connection in the cord reel. The contacts on the side of it wear from use.
