This is the fix for the problem I have. I had the starter cleaned and rebuilt but it didn't fix the problem. The voltage to the solenoid drops to 6V when the ignition switch is engaged. Starts instantly when I short the solenoid directly to the starter.

If your ignition problem is a clicking of the solenoid when you try to start the engine, and the engine will not turn over, there is a relay conversion kit that you can buy from your local dealer and is a 10 minute self fix. It sends all of your voltage to the starter solenoid, not just part of it. Your starter will turn instantly and start the engine. It costs about $25. Works like a charm and easy to install yourself.
