Washer 4 yrs old will not drain/spin. Is it worth the money to have repair man come in,,or replace it if we cannot fix it ourselves?

I have the same problem. I must have put too many clothes in. It hums instead of spin/drain. I can restart the load and it will try to fill water but stops quickly because it's full. Sometimes it super slowly agitates but never drains. Please help!!

What does the washer do when it's supposed to drain/spin? Do you hear any noises?
