Stratolounger recliner doesn't stay closed?

It is just the spring. Now where to get the replacement spring i do not know so i will hunt for one at a hardware store. The spring actually broke on one hookend. Other then that i have no complaints of my stratolounger recliner, it is around three years old or so.

my stratolounger handle has broken. The metal around the bolts that hold it to the mechanism is worn out. Metal fatique. Please tell me where I can get a new handle with the metal arm on it so I can attach it to my recliner. I have two recliners and they are beautiful. Don't want to replace them. Just want to fix the handle on the broken onel

gar Land or Housston Texas I am 76 and pretty much a short timer as I hae cancer of the liver and a few other things budt was told that dsthe liver wasn't going to kill me but my heart. I have congestive heart failure also. I feel better about that as my father died of the same thing ..............no pain. my problem is a broken spring in seat. need help because I sleep bett3er in chair than bed.

my handle is not broken
The two springs are broken that holds the foot rest

It is the foot rest. The two springs that hold the foot rest down are broken. Next more! Where do I find them. It is about 10 years old and a very good chair. On the chair it has this as best I can see underneath the chair.

We noticed that the dual recliner on display in the store yesterday was reluctant to stay closed on the right side. I guess when we get ours it will have the same problem. Maybe a strategically placed phone book will help.
