Do I need to update my software with the box i just got yesterday?

Mick..all flashed all working got about 80+ channels now...BUT do you have a list of all the freq the good channels are on so i can just add them like sky b.o, and all movie ch's mate

ok ray, try flash the file that i sent you, ufl-max-v-kuro-15-10-07 sometimes older files work just as well, check the frequency range as it starts to scann , it should be starting off at 100mzh to around 870 mzh or over", you will see them numbers as the scann starts to run " you say you have 11 watchable channells, and the rest? are they showing up as scrambled" or just not there? i have 138 channells showing on my box with that file here in dublin, tell me ray do you have the box on standby" when your flashing it? you should have" . try that file above" i have a dreambox here and i must of put 100 different files into it by now, still no luck , nightmarebox they should of called it" so dont give up just yet , try that file.. mick

I have successfully flashed the new new software dated 18-04-08, BUT the problem I have now is that i have no sp.1,2 or 3, no movies, no music, got all the discovery channels, animal planet, sony tv, cnn international and others to a total of just 11 watchable channels. I have also scanned quite few times but end up with the same channels

If it's not one thing then it's another!!

ray if you put up some email address ill try talk you through how to flash the file, or if you what tell me the way you flashed the file ill try see why it did not work , mick

Mick, i have found out that the firmware that i flashed with is old, i have been told the correct one i should use. Will try it and let you know. The lead i got is the correct one as i flashed before...but the wrong file...

hi ray , you cant get in by the way i said ? strange , it works for me everytime i try , ,getting back to the firmware , did you check your pc/ laptop for the (rs232) ports ? you have to have them to send the file , or on a friends pc that has one , let me know what you have,, mick

Mick, i have tried the codebox thing....still no joy, will try sending via the file. What is the latest file and how exactly do you transfer the file??

another way in to the code box is to press menu, on the remote, now in the main menu,see (language settings) press ok on that"now in the next window that comes up "type in 19681968 that will open the codebox for you, next press ok , you would realy be better of downloading the file that updates the box, and getting a nullcable via the pc to get the box to update itself, because them codes are forever changing , drive you nuts" the only problem you might come across is the (rs232 port) on your pc , do you have one? take a look at the back of the eurovox , see the 9pin (rs232 port ) next to the vcr scart , well ray you ( Need )one of them on your pc.normaly you will find them on labtops, or older pc, you need that port to link up the box to the pc via the nullcable to send the firmware flashfile to the eurovox,

Mick, also The box does not update itself, i have tried putting in the codes, but the press menu, press yellow button is not working...

if the box you have it not auto rolling , your firmware is out of date , if its updateing itself you dont need to do anything yet"

what box have you got? mine is eurovox , firmwear date is 11 arp 2008, put up the make of your box , and if i know the file ill tell you ,
