Mend Mintek MDP-1770 Player Battery Work

how can I fix my mintek MDP-1770?

My DVD player flashes when i turn it on but then it shuts right off. I just took the battery off the charger and it still doesnt work. I used it last week and it worked fine, but now it doesnt work at all.
