Mend Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Remove Key Barrel

how can I remove a snapped key from a barrel???

I have a merc sprinter and the key for the back has snapped inside the barrel. I have a spare key but i'm unable to get the remainder of the key out of the lock. Anyone got aqny suggestions???
