Mend Volvo 850 TDI Engine Power Noticed

my volvo 850 tdi engine looses power when accelerating?

i have noticed that my car accelerates away ok but when reaching 2500 revs it looses some power any ideas???

does the exhaust chuck out black smoke when its revved if it does and its quite alot you might have a split intercooler pipe or damaged intercooler get someone to rev it and you can hear for the hissing noise from the engine area.you've got the volkswagon engine in it which does experience turbo,egr and fuel pump issues im afraid..
