Erm...either contact Dyson under warranty or...replace it with a different machine altogether as Dyson discontinued them :( The Indesit Moon looks interesting, but that's mostly what you're paying for, the looks. There is one a little cheaper with the same capacity, but has a B spin rating...
Alternatively, i could look at it, but only if you live close to me. Lol. Sorry i can't be of more help, but those machines are surprisingly more complicated than most Washers i've studied the guts of. It either sounds like the motor is failing or the control circuitry for the motor is failing/damaged. It's also quite interesting that it still 'works' but won't spin at full speed - maybe it has two seperate coils (in the motor)?
You can also contact Dyson through their website, it does seem like they'll be of some help, at least. As the CR01/2 came with 5 year warranties, you might be in luck.
