Mend Craftsman 18hp Riding Mower Engine Blades

riding mover?

i have an 18hp craftsman riding mower and when i engage the blades it stop running / same for the clucth.thanks for any help RICK

Can almost guarantee you have a faulty seat switch. Bypass it and check. For safety it should be replaced, but personally I think I'd just bypass it permanantly and make a mental note not to 'abandon ship' with the cutters engaged and in gear! I guess with the seat switch out, you could install some radio gear and mow the lawn by remote control.......
