BMW 318is N reg. Immobiliser has stopped working. Cannot start?

try this,it worked for me!
turn on ignition, disconnect a live battery terminal,
leave for about 5mins, reconnect terminal,turn off ignition then on, imobiliser light should steady then go off, start as usual.
As I only tried this on Sunday, cant say how long it will last but now starts like a dream.In effect you are rebooting computer. Good luck
