Mend Polar Bear 26-14 CTD Trips Mains Cuts

Water Distiller trips mains fuse when it cuts out?

When my Polar Bear water distiller (Model 26-14 CTD) reaches the end of the water tank reservoir and the float cuts off the unit, it blows the house mains fuse. Can you tell me what am I looking for to fix this please?

No replies but I've had a response from elsewhere. So, if anyone else has similar problems... mine was due to scale buildup at the base of the cutoff float. It was affecting the switch as it couldn't move freely.
