Why wash cycle trips the mains?

I have a Zanussi Washing Machine dryer 1050 (WDS 1183w). when loaded and switched on will load the water but as soon as it starts to turn the tumbler it cuts the electricity (TRIPS THE MAINS). I have tried the washing Machine on dry cycle and this problem does not occur. Any advice to get the wash cycle going again?

Thanks Jackie. I have checked a possible electrical part (Brush set on the main motor) they seem to be OK. Still puzzled by the fault.

All i can tell you is that i was once told by an electrician that if something keeps making the mains trip then it's faulty. I'm sorry i cant be more helpful.
