i have just done my brakes on my transit how do you ajust the hand brake?

rear brakes are self adjusting but they have to start from zero back of all cable adjustment .make suru all the springs inside the drums are free to move on the brake shoe that has the lever on it folow the mechanisim to the bar that spans between the shoes on the end are ratchet teeth that need to be greased to work operating the lever by hand u will see the shoes spreading and the ratchet trying to move a tooth u can roughly click the ratchet by hand till the drumm will just go back on.when on press pedal to centralise shoes then readjust till the hand brake leaver cable just begins to grab,sit in drivers seat,pedal down hard and pull on the hand brake lever lots of times till itratchets up the drums .adjust the kever to pull up no more than 6 clicks.check the wheels still turn after this.if still nobrake u need a rear drum spring kit.they dont cost that much
