Kenmore canister 116?

The motor in my Kenmore canister model 116 has no power and is making a stink when I run it. How do I get the cover off to get at the motor?

4 screws on the motor cover. 2 of them are under the bag door hinges, the other 2 are under the cord reel (or power) button. You have to pry the button off from the back of the machine. You will need a new motor, the armature isn't sold seperately.
