Mend Proline FLP10W Washing Machine Filter Pump

How do I clean the filter on my Proline FLP10W?

My washer wont drain. I've taken off the kick plate and unscrewed the plug on the front but there's no kind of filter I can identify. When the plug is removed I can see the pump spindle which seems to turn okay by finger.
I also disconnected the waste hose at the back of the washer and it seems to drain okay too.
What do I do?
