Infocus LP425 - flickering power led, but does not switch on?

When I switch on my projector the LED power lamp flickers rapidly, and it makes a putt putt noise out of the on board speaker,
but the projector does not come on. When I swich the power off. The putt, putt noise slows as the the power drains from the project then stops.
If anyone can give me any ideas of what the problem could be I would be very greatful.
