Mend Kenmore 80 Series Washer Agitator Repair

How do I fix my Kenmore 80 series washer?

Kenmore Ultra Fabric Care 80 Series.
The agitator ( the thing in the middle of the washer that holds the fabric softener ) is roatating at the bottom only. The stem seems to rest on the top with out any kind of "force" during the wash cycly. Is this normal? If not, How do I fix it?

Hello,

It sounds like you need to replace the worn out agitator dogs under your agitator. You have to remove the dispenser cap and then a smaller cap to get to the bolt to remove the top have of the agitator. Once that is off flip it over and you will see the 4 worn out dogs.
