Lawn mower not starting after oil flood on turning it upside ,accidentally?

filter unlikley to be the cause could try adding a tiny amount of fuel, and i mean tiny, direct into spark plug hole and refitting also make sure fuel is new not old

On the B&S Quantum, the air filter is under the cover secured by a screw just underneath where the throttle cable attaches. The filter cannot be cleaned - if seriously comtaminated it must be replaced. Leave it off for testing.

Remove spark plug and crank engine rapidly to expel any oil from the cylinder.

Replace plug and attempt to start. It will probably smoke HEAVILY for a few minutes, as the muffler will be full of oil.

REPLACE AIR FILTER before using mower.
