electrolux dishwasher esi 6104 wont fill?

repairman says its getting airlocked and that it`s a common fault with this model,worked for an hour ,gone again.Suspect he`s trying to sell me a new one as the guy in a major electrical retailers said he had never heard of this before.Any help appreciated.

the inlet valve has a safety lockout and if you remove the pipe and blow down it it will allow it to fill,but i suspect it is blocked internally somewhere with grease and this is what is activating the safety lockout.it is a common fault.finding and clearing the blockage is the only way to fix it properly

I have had the same problem with a matsui dishwasher and iam trying to fix it again today.In the past i flushed hot water through the waste then tried turning the water off and on a couple of times.
