Mend Thomson DTI16300 Recorder Digital Programme

how do i fix thomson dti16300 top up digital tv recorder?

while trying to delete a viewed programme the machine freezes . unplugging and plugging back in does restart the machine but deleting programme again freezes machine.

Try this,press menu then set up then help enter the help menu then put in the numbers 1397,this will bring up another menu,scroll down to disable library this will be at no change to yes,then press library on remote conrol,then delete as normal.

goto the menu.scroll down to set up,ok,scroll down to help ,ok,pressthe green button this opens up hidden menu,press the blue button this wipes all recorded programs

sounds like a hard disk problem - maybe the programme is stored in a bad sector on the hard disk - hence when it tries to remove it, it gets stuck in the loop. :)
