Gear shift trouble on peugeot 306 td?

Changing gear is becoming increasingly more difficult.
especially gear 1 2 and R
It feels a little crunchy
i have a 1997 model

Hot or cold also in 1 and 2 it also makes a squeek when changing into any gear
it just generally feels rough changing into any gear
i thought maybe the linkage is shot or its not aligned correctly ????

does it crunch going into reverse when the car is hot?
if so sounds very much like the clutch is worn out but as i am unable to see the car difficult to say for certain.
