Mend AMW M270 Dvd Player Light

how can i fix my amw m270 portable dvd player?

My portable dvd player turns on, the disc spins but there is no picture. I can see that the light on the screen comes on but there is no picture and no sound and none of the buttons work. I've had it for 2 years and have used it maybe 10 times. what can i try?

the ribbon cable from the dvd to the video sreen is broken, i trying to find a 26 pin cable to replace it. looking for a replacement part
