Crusader Tumble CT61C - Whats wrong?

My 17 year old dryer has been brilliant but now no water ends up in the water tank. Its bone dry. Any ideas please?

Hi, can anyone tell me how to fit a new belt to a Crusader ct16c tumble dryer or where i can download instruction on how to do this.

If it wont spin is the tension on the belt correct? If it's blowing, this is all powered from the same motor. I need to replace the heating element in mine. found one for 33 quid but am shopping around. If it is blowing cold, check the condition of yours, it's the bit in the middle at the back (very fragile).

Tested the thermisters and they appear to have a condinuity through them so appear to be ok on first glance i guess. Have looked at the relay and all seems well . Have had it running again briefly but no reason why it will not satart all the time evry time

Yep mine is doing this too it runs for a short while only some times and the switch does nothing. There is power to the device and this has been tested with a multi meter. The door close mechanism is also activating ok under a meter test. The heating coils read resistance and not open circuit.

Is there any othe tests i can do that will inform me the of the problem. There are some little thermisters above the heating elements can these be tested for working state by puting a meter across them. I have noticed a relay and the mechanical rotary switch are these also troublesome parts?
