2001 Corsa, CDR 2005 VDO CD/Radio is showing error code SAFE. How to fix?

I have vauxhall corsa 2001 1.2 Comfort. It has a built in CD/Radio (CDR 2005 VDO). It is powering on but not doing anything else. It says error code SAFE.

Can anyone help?

I have got to the point of putting my code in 5 occasions but no sign of the CDR2005 VDO coming on.
I don't know if the code is the same for all models of this number but my code supplied by Vauxhall is 9096.

PRESS DOWN THE AS AND POWER ON AT THE SAME TIME. sELECT THE NUMBER FOR POSTIONS TO ENTER THE CODE. FOR EXAMPLE TO ENTER CODE POSITION 3 AND NUMBER IS 9 PRESS 3 - PRESS THE 3 BUTTOMS 9 TIMES.

once you enter the number press the AS botton again and the radio should wok

Does the orignal corsa 2005 model cd/radio player ,work in a 2001 model?.. as am planning to do so, but not sure if it will work..

Your radio code should be in your black service folder.
But if not then You will need to get vx radio removal keys and take out the cd player, note the down this serial number(engraved on the side of the cd plaer). With it you can get your code off the net but you will have to pay about £8 - £25 depending if you find a good site, im still looking for a good one.

Turn it on with the AS button held down, then enter the code. If no code then google for help. The cod e is NOT on the booklets that come with the car. It's on the Vauxhall owners card and nowhere else.

You will require to enter the Security Code for the radio
It should be with the Booklets/paperwork that came with the car
