I don't know how to put a question on here, but my sony tv is doing the same exact thing...it did this and 2 days later i switched it off and on and it worked, then when i turned it off it would not come back on, very aggrevating, next time i just won't turn it off at all

it might depends upon the situation of your circuit you may open up the tv if you are really are a technician check for physical damages, however if couldnt find any you may check youre low voltage powersupply and high voltage power supply or your standy circuit of 5v or 12 might be missing

Hi. almost always a dry joint. This means the tiny little solder joints have started to crack, and one of them has now disconnected. Sony have the worst soldering of any set I've ever worked on.
