my battery went dead now key wont work locks or immobilser?

you need to get the chassis number off your car and give it to renault. if they are nice enough like when it happened to me they will provide you with a code that is entered via your central locking button on the dash board. saved me a lot of money buying a new key as firstly they told me that this was the only option available.
hope you are lucky enough with a renalut dealer to get the code like i did.
