AUDI A4 TDI FAULT CODE?

MY 1997 MODEL A4 TDI HAS A FAULT CODE 04D5 ELECTRIC SHUT OFF ELAB MECH FAULT.THIS CODE I GOT FROM A BOSCHE KTS200 SCANNER.BUT I DONT KNOW WHAT IT MEANS.ANY HELP PLEASE

the fuel cut off solenoid located at rear of diesel pump is faulty.its easy to replace remove electrical cable held on with 8mm nut. then unscrew solenoid 22mm.remove spring and plunger...now fit new solenoid assembly in reverse order.part costs 30to40 pounds good luck....Big Al
