How do I stop aerial channel sound playing on the AV channel?
I have a Sony Trinitron Model KVM2171U all in working order except for the fact that when on the AV channel the sound from the aerial channels (normal tv) continues to play instead of being muted. How can I fix this as it seems a waste to get a new TV for such a small problem.
I have tried this method and instead of getting terrestrial channel sound, I get static. The strange thing is that the sound from the DVD player/xbox still plays at the same time so I get a random mix of the wanted sound and unwanted static/normal tv. Any idea why?

Select a channel number on your tv handset away from the terrestrial channels i.e not numbers 1-5 and tune the AV signal to that channel,I had the same problem but it wasn't sound it was ghosts on the screen,your TV ariel is conflicting with your sattelite reception.
