how can i fix my maytag side by side front door dispenser #msd2356ae?

my maytag fridge has a problem too. The water/ice controls click on and off day and night,sometimes the light too. I get ice from the container manualy.I believe that these control boards are faulty.Maytag knows it too. I will never buy from them again ever.....

Well, I ordered a solenoid, door repair kit, switch and memory board. When I took apart the second them the fountain cover had melted around the solenoid. Also the lever that holds ice cover closed had melted, which explains why they sell that when you order a solenoid.
Got the new cover and replaced the switch, solenoid, lever, and fountain cover. Still did not work so replaced memory card. When I pulled out memory card it was burnt on backside. After installing the card it worked again. But when I tightended up the fountain cover screws to much the ice door would not close properly. Backed off a turn and it worked okay.
So, now can get water and crushed ice. The mechanism the triggers the crushed ice will not release. So, looks like some maybe a solenoid in freezer area went south also.
It is clear that Maytag / Jennair dispensers have had this problem, since you cannot order the solenoid seperately.
If you have this problem count on new fountain cover, memory card, solenoid/door closure kit. You can order all of it direct from Maytag.
