I have a Poulan Pro 18" chainsaw purchased new about 1 year ago. My son was going to use it the day after I had been using it (with no problems) and it would not crank. I have replaced the plug (fire looks good) with no luck. I have also tried starting fluid in the cylinder, it didn't even hit. the compression was about 60 pulling the cord slowly, about 75 with quick strokes. Any suggestions ??
Checked with a local repair shop. They said I needed a minimum of 100 on the compression.... Removed the muffler and determined that the Piston was scarred.
