Samsung LCD TV Model LW20M21C?

TV was left in standby mode. When I returned, tv was on !!
Now I cannot control on/off/standby switch with remote or manual control. When pressing 'off' button on TV fascia, TV goes off then immediately on again. If power is switched off at plug, then tv ramps automatically through the channels when power is restored, ie 12-11-10-etc. Is there a fault on 'on/off' switch ?
