Hi Rosie,
I have exactly the same dryer and exactly the same problem.
I found the piece you need to fix it on ebay for $25 + $5 postage... see http://myworld.ebay.com.au/spanbow/

Anyway, you might be able to help me- after I replaced the piece and put the dryer back together, I had a piece left over.
A little metal wire (like a coathanger). I know it sits on the motor assembley somehow, but don't know exactly how.

I have the same dryer and just purchased and fitted a Support Spigot Assy-kit Cost $20 Took about 45 min to fit Electrolux part number 0012377009. This part has a black pin that comes up the centre with a loop on the end. It is not that hard to do but the back panel has to come off, the four screws on the inside of the drum have to be undone this holds the drum to the spigot, The black pin or grey has to be pulled forward to allow the back part to come out from the housing ( when the new one is fitted that pin should be pushed back as far as it can go to stop it from falling from the housing.
