Proline fridge/freezer. How do you change the light bulb?
I have a Proline Slimline plus fridge / freezer of indeterminate age which I inherited. Access to the light bulb appears to be a pull-down panel at the very top of the fridge compartment behind the temp. control but there is no obvious way of removing it and I am afraid too much force will break it. I have no manual and the whole thing works perfectly apart from the light. Anybody know how this panel comes off ?

Allaid is spot on ... Don't touch screws at the back just slide a thin bladed knife at the front where the bulb usually shines and it will clip out :) thanks Allaid

I have a Proline and had just as much difficult; hence my reason for being here. But I finally succeeded in getting the darn thing off. The sides [top and bottom] have small teeth that can be pried outward so the plastic 'cage' will come off.

To change the light bulb only part of the plastic fitting which is located around the temp control needs to be removed The piece that needs removing is in the centre of the total cover and is only clipped in so it can be prised down carefully to reveal the lamp. You will need to look closely to see the outline of the centre piece to insert a small knife or screwdriver in order to prise it down. It worked for me.
