No warning, screen gone as black as if it was switched off, yet sound and channel changing still function. Any clues - is this fatal? TV out of guarantee.
i actually have the exaxt same problem, it start fine but after 30mins or so this exact same thing happens to me

THERE IS NO SIGNAL TO THE TUNER,CHECK THE ARIEL CONNECTER AND SELECT SCAN IN THE TUNING MENU.
ONCE THE CHANNELS ARE TUNED IN THE TIMER DOES NOT FUNCTION.

THE BACKLIGHT INVERTER PANEL HAS FAILED,USUALLY CAUSED BY THE SURFACE MOUNT FUSE BLOWING FOR NO PARTICULAR REASON.
ONCE THE FUSE IS REPLACED THE TV WORKS AS NORMAL.

mine does a countdown frm 4mins 59secs then starts the countdown again, still no pic or sound. DVD and AV still work??
