My sharp TV VCR comb flashes tamper proof?!?

On the original Remote control there is a "tamper proof" button. Hold that down for 3 seconds. now doesn't that seem easy?

I have a Sharp TV VCR DVD combo that started to flash this little red light on the front that reads tamper proof. I thought that it was due to my tape now being stuck in it but when I removed the tape by taking it apart it still does the tamper proof thing... never been droped or gotten wet what gives? T_T I miss my TV help please.... and i have no remote.

Minr did same. Since my replacement univeral remote didn't have a "tamper proof" button, I tried each button for 4 seconds. Ended up being the "toggle" button.

Again, thank you. Had a video from library stuck in there that I didn't want to pay dues for forever. :)

No but AWESOME and thank you, I held down the button on the remote and less than 4 seconds, the red light went away and I now have my TV up and running. Thank you and Many Blessings to you and yours.

Thanks you so much for helping me on how to turn off the the tamper proof^^ lol i went crazy trying to fix it.. turn off the power a couple (alot) of times >.< n still it didnt work. thanks again

hold down the tamper proof button on your remote control for 4 seconds and it will unlock and turn off the red light, thus tv should function properly.
