How to clean Rowenta Iron DX 6700 Steam Iron?

I just cleaned my Rowenta iron today. This is what I found on the net.

To use the self clean feature, you fill the water tank, plug in the iron, and set it to the highest setting. When the red indicator light goes out, signaling the temperature has been reached, unplug the iron, hold it horizontally over a sink (and away from you). Then push the self clean button.
