laptop rm cl51?

Hi, these laptops are awful. We have over fifty of these from schools in Wales all with this problem. No combination of RAM, HDD, CPU or MBD has solved this. I can safely say these motherboards are sh*t.

I have just this weekend got a very similar model of RM laptop to work under very similar circumstances. In the end I had to hit both shift keys on start up to get into a menu which let me restore the laptop to some previous setup that worked. Then I was confronted with both a prompt for netbios domain details and/or an administrator password (unknown) to get into XP - to get past both I borrowed a copy of Winternals (I had to hit F2 at startup in order to change the boot order so it boots from the CD) and used the startup tool to remove the bios prompt and the password unlocking tool to get into XP so i could reset the password.
